Lost Civilisations of the Stone Age - Richard Rudgley/Arrow Books
A 'Must-Read'; don't miss it. Shiv, this recommendation is for you. I really
can't recommend this sufficiently.

Watching the English: The Hidden Rules of English Behaviour - Kate Fox/Hodder
Very nice indeed, although it had its Heyyyyyy! moments. I must admit I liked
it better than 'Eats, Shoots and Leaves', truly. Gifted to me, amusingly, by a
German friend, in turn enfuriated and hysterical with laughter at the antics of
the Anglo.

Islam: A Short History - Karen Armstrong/Phoenix
Very calming.

Subject: [silk] Favourite books read in 2008

I'm trying to get some recommendations, and further disturb the balance
of the TBR pile on my shelves. What were the best books you read last year?
