Be happy to send you my copy. Send me your address. I picked it up in Madras, perhaps in Lifestyle, more probably in the fascinating bookshop opposite Spencer Plaza which has a huge range of historical and sociological books. It was during my wanderings.
Since you are writing about the desiccation of Indian society due to the influence of the Abrahamic religions, this might be interesting as a perspective on what happened roughly 5,000 years earlier. However, that is only a very small part of the book; the other parts, the bits on the development of language and mathematics, for instance, are un-putdownable. ________________________________ From: ss <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, 14 January, 2009 8:19:15 AM Subject: Re: [silk] Favourite books read in 2008 On Monday 12 Jan 2009 10:29:35 pm Bonobashi wrote: > Lost Civilisations of the Stone Age - Richard Rudgley/Arrow Books > A 'Must-Read'; don't miss it.
