Actually it is not so silly. Pure capsaicin oleoresin is probably manufactured in some foreign country and will have to be bought by India at 10,000 times the price of chilli powder - or else India will have to spend millions setting on an oleoresin plant of its own. Just use the chill and ensure that people in that oleoresin manufacturing plant abroad do not get any extra money or jobs. May sound silly - but it's the truth. shiv
