Silly coincidence. I just got Foucault's Pendulum from the library for a re-read. Finished it in one feverish go few years ago and loved it. Of the list, I don't think Atlas Shrugged was problematic (Haha. Haven't read any of the others except the three I've mentioned here.) Rand is a pretty good writer, and it isn't tedious. Maybe the last chapter where that Galt chap keeps on and on about the same thing. Gulag, I couldn't read because of the torture described. Left it after some 120 pages. Too much pain for me.
