I haven't purchased a new book since I got the Sony Reader 2 years ago.
Still, this has increased my dependence on (paper-based) magazines and
newspapers for when airplanes are taking off/landing.

1) I prefer the Sony Reader because it does support more formats than Kindle
(atleast it did when I was comparing them prior to making my purchase).
2) Funny thing with the Sony Reader, the battery lasts long enough that I
occasionally *forget* to check the remaining charge before going on trips.
3) Was at the beach last 5 days and finished "Foundation" and "Quick and the
Dead" and 1 other L'amour western book with battery still over 75%, to give
you an idea of battery life.
