Hey Suresh,
Thanks for the questions. Sometimes these things are so embedded in the
head, one forgets that things are not always as clear in words.

Who would the technology actors in the city be, according to you, Nishant?
>

With technology actors, we are trying to address people who are in the
'business of technology' and producing/researching tech problems from the
view point of privacy. This is one in a series of open spaces and we are
also looking at other actors like governments, CSOs, etc. However, for this
open space (which is a learning experience for us) we are particularly
interested in getting the Technological (and technologised) understanding of
Privacy online.

We are looking at a wide range of players but due to budget constraints are
currently limiting ourselves to people in Bangalore. They could be working
with either local, international or bilateral companies and agencies.

We are trying to understand how the developers of technology (but not just
coders) view privacy and how the platforms that we use shape and build
notions of privacy. So yes, yes, and yes to all the 3 sectors that you have
listed here, as long as they are working with questions of online privacy.
We are going with an Open Space model, so trying to avoid a produced list of
questions. Instead, we hope that the folks who come will throw up different
questions around "Design of Privacy Online".

I am scouting right now, but the invite and the event write-up will be ready
by EoD and I will send in more details.

Cheers
