Yes in fact we had this issue as well until we started doing in Bangalore as the Bangaloreans do, which is to just chuck everything out using the rule of thumb that someone wrote about in yesterday's paper: NIMBY - Not In My Back Yard. Having said that a partial solution to the rat problem would be to get a carpet and furniture problem called a dog. shiv >
