Tom is the author of several books on the climate crisis and social justice and is the co-founder and main person at EcoEquity, a climate-change think tank. He’s been a full-time climate-change policy person since 1995 or so.
I really like the talk he gave at a San Francisco TedX event last year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBM_N907LUw <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBM_N907LUw> His delivery isn’t especially slick. But the information in, and the logic of, his talk is well thought out, surprising, and very important. It’s 20 minutes long; I encourage you to watch it. jrs P.S. Those of you who’ve read & remember my nanoscopically famous novel Acts of the Apostles may be amused to learn that Tom was a main model for the character named Maceo (I was Tom’s boss at Sun in the early 90’s). “Managing him was like managing a mule. You had to hit him on the head with a two by four to get his attention.” Or words to that effect.
