I find that the business line of laptops tends to give the most bang for the buck over time. * Books. * DSLR lenses, though I haven't needed to buy camera equipment for years now. * Whisky. * Shoes. I go through Vibram soles every couple of years (I walk a lot), so cheaper shoes just aren't worth the money [1]. * Travel. My travel tends to take me away from people and into nice trekking areas, or to conferences. Being comfortable is good, and on a multiday trek, good equipment is worth the money. Devdas Bhagat
