If you will go to Radio Shack and ask the clerk to find you two 12v sub-miniature----incandescent----lamps, plus two E5 type lamp holders.....you will be in business. The two 12v bulbs should be assembled; connected in series to each other in either leg of your circuit coming from your 24---to---36vdc power supply. This setup will work equally well as the single 24v, 40 MA bulb. Besides, Radio Shack does not carry (in stock) the 24v bulb recommended in Bob Beck's assembly instructions. We have constructed dozens of these devices using this work-around----quite successfully. Good Luck.
