Valerie, I have a friend that was bitten by a the brown recluse spider. Site of bite got very purple, she developed severe headaches as you described your daoughter has, my friend had to go to the hospital it was so bad. They put her on iv antibiotics. Slowly she started to inprove. What you describe sounds a lot like the brown recluse spider bit. The site of bite is pretty unique in that the skin around the bite generaly gets grotesque looking - pitted etc, then dies an peels off. WATCH THE SITE AND SEE IF SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS! If it is spider bite - from what I read - it should get slowly better on its own. I myself have been fighting lyme disease since 1992. What you describe sounds more like spider bite than lyme.
