Dear Bob Berger: I sent you two private e-mails in the last week, not sure if either got through. I'm trying to make a current limiter for the 27 or 36 VDC generator as you described awhile back, but am having trouble getting the parts you called for. LM-317 - Places here have LM-317T and various other trailing letters but no plain LM-317. What should it look like? 250 ohm potentiometer - People ask, "How many amps, how many turns, is it a 'trimmer'", and want to sell me something for $40. Wish I knew more about electronic hardware. Any further help or suggestions for a parts source available? RS never heard of this stuff.
