Mike, I've got good news and I've got bad news.  The good news is that
the topical doesn't have the ability to cause liver damage like the
pills can  (at least the PDR doesn't mention it), some times in three
days of usage and sometimes not reversal, commonly called death by
laymen.  The bad news is that the cream can cause anaphylactic symptoms
(think nerve gas or rattlesnakes) and life-threatening or less severe
asthmatic episodes from the sodium sulphite anhydrous in it.  "he died
from an episode" sounds like a Monty Python routine.  "He's dead!"  "No,
he's just having an episode, beautiful plumage the Norwegian blue."

This is from the 50th, 1996 version of the PDR.

P.S. the shampoo's warnings are like the topical.
