Katarina, You are right is has too large of particles to be any good. Toss it. Send me all of the parameters you used to make it and I will try to diagnose your problem. I.E. voltage, electrode spacing, size and type of electrode (round , flat,), how much electrode is in the water, how much water, how long did you run the brew, do you have any kind of meter in the cirduit if so what were the readings.
