Hi:
Chlorine is bad, but our water contains chloramine, which is even worse.
Most of the chlorine will eventually escape from the water, but chloramine
does not. Try to put this water in a fish tank and all the fish die, yet
they say it is safe for people to drink!
You MUST have the best possible filter to get this stuff out. We think we
have found it. We use the Multipure undersink filter, and recommend that
everyone on a municipal water supply do the same. It filters out the
chlorine, chloramine, and many other impurities. It isn't cheap, but beats
the competition by a wide margin. You can find it here:

We also swear by the Aquasana shower filter - if your water is heavily
chlorinated, you need this too:

It is the only shower filter that does not impede the water flow, and still
gets rid of the chlorine. However, be careful when you first turn it on -
catch the first output in a bucket because there will be a lot of carbon in
it which can stain your tub or floor. This goes away after the first few
uses.

Wow, I didn't know that..
Thanks Jodie. Our water here stinks of chlorine - we use a filter for most
of the drinking water. Now I am thinking of getting a permanent filter
installed..
Best,
J.
