Peroxide scavenges the O out of AgO, [silver oxide..that gold stuff, or
brown to black if thick on an electrode] releasing metallic silver.

as I recall, something about the peroxide seems to break up the larger
colloids that cause the gold color. It should not hurt anything, some
people add peroxide in tiny amounts to their cs as part of the recipe.

Hi All..I am still learning about Colloidal Silver and have a question.
The jar that I had it stored in had a gold color film on the glass on the
inside and I used Peroxide 3% (the food safe peroxide) that took it right
off the glass. I then took some CS that was gold color and added just a
tad of peroxide to it and it turned clear. Will the peroxide harm the CS?
The PPM didn't change so I figured that it didn't but wanted to ask those
who have been around it longer. I remember someone said something about
peroxide but can't remember what it was. Can someone shed some light on
this subject?..Thanks and cheers..Keithmj
