? True science is not dogmatic, it is vibrant and alive and changable,
in so far as new info comes up. But yes, I see your point.
In this matter of science as dogma or not, there are distinctions to be
made in science as ideal, science in discovery, scientific methodologies,
scientific theories, scientific domains, and science in the hands of
government.
I think the controversy of teaching of evolutionary theory alongside
creationist theory in public schools would serve well as a case in point.
