Vitacost? No wonder you found strange stuff there.

A few months ago I ordered something from, then soon tried to cancel the order.
But they would not cancel the order. They charged my credit card and sent me
the stuff anyway.

So I refused to accept the package when it arrived. And I called my credit
card company who then removed the charge from my bill. Still Vitacost tried to
charge my card for their shipping costs to me for a product I didn't want.

If you plan to deal with Vitacost proceed at your own risk.

I signed up for a newsletter from vitacost.com (a place that sell vitamins,
raw honey and such). They send out these "health tips" every so often. I
thought was an odd article so I wanted to get others opinions as well, so
thanks!!!

Being the suspicious creature I am, I wonder where I could find that
article (couldn't find it through google). It would be good to work out who
paid for this study.
If no further information on this is found I would dismiss the report on
grounds of fear mongering once again(by those who stand to benefit from the
sale of prescribed Vit C).

Mixing in the stomach, this combo encourages carcinogens, study suggests

(HealthDay News) -- When fat is present in the stomach, vitamin C
transforms from a cancer-fighter to a possible contributor to malignancy, new
research suggests.

Researchers at Western Infirmary in Glasgow, Scotland, analyzed the
interaction between vitamin C and lipid (fat) in the upper stomach, which is
particularly vulnerable to pre-cancerous changes and tumor growth. They focused
on changes in nitrite chemistry.
