HI Carol Ann & others,
So much for me lurking, lol.
My cousin just had breast cancer, and regarding your
comment about attitude, I just have to say she handled
it so gracefully. Her hair is now starting to grow
back in and a few of us went out to lunch. She had it
styled kind of like one does with a baby girl with the
curl on the top of the head because that it the only
length to their hair. We were all teasing her about
her hip hair style. She replied she was going to spike
it some more and spray some purple dye in it. Too
funny!
IMO, you're so right about personal attitude. I was
very touched at how she has handled everything,
actually kind of awed by her. I hadn't realized the
depth and courage she possessed.
But about vitamin C, they (doctors) made her stop
taking any antioxidants as they said it interfered
with the chemo while she was having chemo. I told her
about you and how you never did reach bowel tolerance.
She said (something I didn't know) that chemo will
constipate one so it would be difficult to reach bowel
tolerance.
Glad your still kicking, lady. And what a lovely lick
you have!
Gail
