Deborah one good way is to practice deep breathing. As deep as you comfortable 
breathe in, hold for a few seconds, then exhale, hold for a few seconds. Do 
this at least 10 times in one session, three times a day. You will be surprised 
how much more capacity and lung clarity you can build in a short time. It also 
helps with lessening pain and preventing pneumonia when sick in bed. It will 
also lower high blood pressure!
