Well then, I suggest you move to the dark continent, Africa.
....or stay at least a half inch away from extension cords when running a
lamp and don't live real close to high tension power lines. [They do try to
go as far away from the most people as possible]
If you do live right next to high tension power lines, aluminum siding, a
tin roof and a ground wire may be a great idea...but unless you are
grounded, you make a lousy antenna.
That article contains truth, but is vastly exaggerated. Very few people
live under those conditions and they can do some pretty normal things to
reduce or even eliminate harm and discomfort.
Exposure time counts. Concentration is reduced exponentially with distance.
Capacitors are used to even out frequencies and turn them into a clean DC
current. I rather doubt you'll find any variance beyond the dead skin cell
layers and any other disturbance will be on the surface nerve endings,
which are, of course, sort of like "wires" going into and out of the brain,
but in order for a frequency to travel that wire from an antenna as a
current, it has to have a difference in potential.
If you are surrounded by frequencies, there is little or no difference in
potential...and the more frequencies there are, the more they cancel each
other.
A radio under water doesn't pick up anything it can make music out of
. [ and a radio that's not under water has to tune canceling frequencies
out or all it gets is left overs?]
It's not the EMF radiation that interferes with bio signals, but the
current of discharge. Bleed it off slow and the current stays low.
You can roast your finger tip by walking on a carpet too and swamp out
the motor control nerve impulses in the process. [ Hand jerks when the bolt
of lightning hits the water pipe]
I think I'll go rub a sheep in latex galoshes with a silk scarf real fast
[frequency..it likes that.] and lead it to an iron water bowl for a nice DC
zap. That's all natural. Gosh, it hopped like a rabbit! What the
BLEET?? LOL.
A cell phone is a high frequency transmitter that outputs many many times
what it picks up....and your head is right next to that transmission. You
can heat up the surface of your brains a little in a small area...but a
microwave oven has a grounded shield in the window. Your conductive skin
can act like that. [If you sweat when you talk, no worries?] and like a
micro wave oven, it takes time to build up heat.
Common EMF isn't exactly a gamma ray.
If you use one a LOT and talk a long time, get a plug in antenna so you
can stay a few feet away from the broadcast source...and wear rubber soled
shoes to make your body a "bad" antenna and so *you* can diffuse the
converted to DC signal gone "static" over a longer period of time. [A
capacitor discharging through a resistor ]
If your head is right next to the source standing barefoot on the ground,
the difference in potential from head to foot can be pretty high and
inducing a high frequency low current signal though the nerve system to
your discharging feet, a possibility. But, is it enough to trigger the
synapses that makes nerve cells connect? And how good a filter is that
threshold? If they can't fire that fast, it ain't going anywhere but
straight to static charge.
I read somewhere that the human synapses fire at exactly 50 HZ, so it
could be that anything over or under 50 Hz gets filtered out.
Anything that crosses the field of vision faster than a 50th of a second
is invisible...like the transition between frames time in a film strip or a
"vanishing" UFO.
It takes voltage to conduct enough current to be felt and it'll conduct
along the straightest path of the least resistance. It takes voltage to
jump the electrochemical synapses filter effect swamping out brain
signals. Voltage is difference in potential. Surrounded by a million
volts is still zero potential difference and nothing goes anywhere. Front
to back is a short distance with low potential difference.
So standing barefoot under a million volt high tension 3 phase AC line is
like a DC slow cooker with the induced voltage being the exponential
difference in potential from head to foot and the current related to
electrical resistance of the ground contact and body conductivity.
[ I've felt the tension some wearing damp shoes, but never wiggled...and
a buddy of mine hit the deck with a big ZAP every time he touched his car
....till he leaned an aluminum lawn chair against it...a static charge of
around a million volts discharging fast as a DC pulse]
THAT, would not be a wonderful spot to camp out. 300 yards away, no big deal.
Horses are tall and well grounded. They don't care much for being under
really high voltage power lines. The lower tension 640 volt ones don't
seem to bother them.
I've seen birds sitting on million volt wires with corona discharge
crackling into the damp air in Washington State. Small and
"surrounded". I'll bet they built up a heck of a capacitive charge...that
bled off all those feather tips real fast in that damp air making poking
around for worms a non arcing event.
Anyhow
1 inch away is [something like, as a fer instance ] a quarter as much
power concentration, 2 inches, 4 times less than that, 3 inches 16 times
less and so on.
With the right filters, the internets DC digital pulses come across the AC
power lines unaffected. Soon, the entire internet will be going along the
power lines and "powerline" networks are already available for the home.
I'm not an expert, so feel free to correct anything that ain't so ...but do
it with some context based on common reality vs uncommon exceptions made
out to look like a universal crisis.

There's a huge difference between radiation from the sun and stars, and
human-made radiation. The following is from an article I wrote that was
just published in Townsend Letter.
===beginning of excerpt===
Another reason these fields are dangerous is that the waves are coherent.
Although the sun constantly transmits naturally-occurring radio
frequencies, microwaves and other EM fields, this radiation is generally
diffuse, whereas alternating current is concentrated. Concentrated
radiation is not natural. For example, you need to purposely harness,
focus, augment, and direct a bombardment of electrons to turn on a light
bulb. In Electromagnetic Man: Health & Hazard in the Electrical
Environment, Cyril Smith and Simon Best write:
"It is just over 100 years since electricity generation started; 60 years
since radio transmissions and 40 years since radar and telecommunications
entered our environment. [The book was published in 1990.] Like natural
fields, man-made fields are limited by the physical properties of the
environment. Unlike natural fields, they are highly coherent and can
interfere with our bio-signals."
The harmful effects of some EM fields are many and varied.
Jacqueline Krohn and colleagues explain that in the many studies
"Â…exposing cells and animals to ELF [extremely low frequency]
fieldsÂ…electric workers and their children have a higher risk of brain
tumors. The incidence of childhood leukemia is higher in children who
live near power lines that carry high voltage. Power-line exposure has
also been associated with an increased incidence of suicide. These
studies support the hypothesis that ELFs act as a cancer promoter. ELF
fields interact with the cell membrane and can affect hormones, calcium
exchange, and tissue growth. It is postulated that the ELFs suppress the
production of melatonin, a cancer inhibitor, by the pineal gland."
