Morning Kathryn,

Maybe so, but one does not always have the other stuff.
Glad to see a critical view from time to time.

Often I think I am all alone.

sometimes I am just too tired to respond....but you are definitely not alone.

I have always drank a lot of water. Even in 1960 my friends stated they never saw me without a canteen of water in my hand.

I like water too.

Where my folks live has delicious water. Everywhere you can hike, the water is good to drink. The gov't says to not drink it, though, they say one may contract dread diseases and/or parasites by doing so. This is a general disclaimer. This sort of statement used to mean something back in 1970, when they used to do testing if someone came down with giardia, track down the offending source (often a dead animal in the creek upstream), cart it off and issue an alert. Now they just always say to not drink itt, then theydo not have to do any work.

We have been drinking it all out lives when in the area, and have never gotten sick. This is not in a main tourist area, though, so most of the people who go there know a thing or 2, and if they find a dead animal in a creek, they will take care of it themselves, and not report it unless they happen to run into the ranger, which could be days if at all. It used to be a ranching area, mostly horses, some cows, for summer pasturage.

Never had a back problem, never broke a bone, never a disk problem, and believe me I have tried hard to Crush Every Disk in my body.

Can you tell I am bored this week? lol

 NO.........

Of course I think anyone is foolish that depends on the minerals in the water. I doubt that 50 gallons per day would provide enough, and most can't drink that much anyway. I welcome different ideas, and continue being critical of most things.

I agree with that. I do not think we are made to get our minerals that way. Some maybe, but not a significant amount. Many animals eat clay. I have about decided for several reasons to get a bag of Azomite (a volcanic clay), to see if it will work for a binder as well as a mineral source.

Good talking to you, Kathryn
