I personally think that taking lots of different supplements can be more of
a hindrance; sometimes causing imbalance, which can be worse than not enough
I know you have to be really careful of which source Vit E comes from, for
instance. I know a lot of people don't agree but IMO and from personal
experience, it is better to take something like kelp or spirulina or wheat
grass; because these are in a balanced form and contain most trace minerals
and lots of B and some C etc., maybe Vit C on its own is ok though and he
would probably need this. My husband has a really low tolerance for
*anything* and I have found the Higher Nature Truefood C is really ok for
him, whereas I have tried straight ascorbic acid and he has all sorts of
problems. He is also ok with spirulina. Hope he feels better soon. Dee

Subject: CS>endomorphins

Dear Group,

I have a question about surgeries and endomorphins. My husband has always
been extremely strong and had a high pain tolerance but since his open heart
surgery aches and pains bother him terribly. Does surgery use up your
endomorphins and you have to build them back up? My dad had this same
reaction after heart surgery and never seemed to get his pain tolerance back

Not many years back my husband was in a bad horse crash and had a horse go over
backwards on him and then got up and walked all over him when he was down. He
had a cracked hip and several broken ribs and took part of his ear off and
limited palse in one leg. He told me not to call 911 because he would be able
to get up in a few minutes. I didn't listen and this hospitalized him for days
and they came close to amputating the leg. He said since heart surgery he
feels like a whimp. I don't know what to think or do for him.
