Subject: CS>endomorphins
Dear Group,
I have a question about surgeries and endomorphins. My husband has always
been extremely strong and had a high pain tolerance but since his open
heart surgery aches and pains bother him terribly. Does surgery use up
your endomorphins and you have to build them back up? My dad had this
same reaction after heart surgery and never seemed to get his pain
tolerance back.
Zinc needs go up after surgery, and also trace elements like colloidal
minerals could help. There is a prescription drug, Naltrexone, 50 mg, that
used off-label as Low Dose Naltrexone in 3 mg or 4.5 mg doses causes
200-300% increases in endorphin release during sleep. There is lots of
info online, my usual computer is in the shop so you could google it. Some
GP type doctors might prescribe it as an immune system enhancer.
Large doses of MSM might also have a good effect, like 1 tbsp several times
a day. It helped me recover from a knee injury.
