I have not mentioned this till now because I really don't know if it works in the real world but you might try monolauren for MRSA. I have some that I plan to give my daughter, who takes gymnastics, if she gets MRSA. There is another person at the gym who has had MRSA and another that is suspected of having MRSA. I know the gym is chemically treating equipment to avoid transmission problems but who knows? Monolauren has been shown effective against MRSA in vitro and monolauren has been effective against Strep that my daughter had and I can get her to take the monolauren vs antibiotics (stubborn 10 yr old). Might be worth a try. - Steve N

Having just had it comfirmed that I have iron overload and going on a reading binge about it, I found it is one thing that differs from person to person, and it is more common that I would have guessed, and it increases suseptibility to infections. I read that anemic children in 3rd world countries have been given iron injections to cure their anemia, but then many die later from sudden overwhelming infections that were low level (hidden so to speak) prior to iron administration. Before researching this for myself, I had read a lot of speculation as to why some people are so much more resistant to infectious organisms than others, but the iron factor is something I'd never heard of before. I'm not saying everyone who is susceptible to some kind of bacteria or other has too much iron, but just pointing out that I recently ran across something that is ONE factor impacting resistance.
