That's very fanciful, but not really weird. Though personally, I don't find the majesty of nature is diminished by having some scientific understanding of it. Having spent much of my adult life in major cities (not anymore, thank God!), I have met many "naturaphobes", and I pity them. They seem tragic to me. I wouldn't trade my childhood years in the country for anything.
