Good Morning Dee,
Very good morning.

Well personally, I like all things fantastic and unearthly like
thunderstorms. I see them as wars between witches and wizards,
titans etc., and I love to walk in them and get wet. It has a
magical feel to it, something beyond the greed and pettyness of man.
True, man was left out, had no part in these things. Some few
like them, others seek cover and shelter.
I love animals and the way they get on with things. Most people
think I am eccenctric or in other words - weird, because they are
either frightened of thunder and don't like getting wet, and they
think animals smell or will hurt them in some way.
I though no one was like that, other than me.
I have watched animals in the rain storms and thunder storms. I
can usually predict exactly
where they will be. Also, on a cold windy day, I can predict where
they will be.
Once I went into a strange swamp and jungle in the rain.
Everyone else stayed in camp, keeping dry, and shooting the bull.
( some were drinking of course, but not me )
I had to wring water out of my socks several times. Yes, I got
blisters on my feet. I tried hard to get lost, and a few times, I
thought I did. Never been in that area before.
The best of woodsmen and navigators get lost in the rain, I have
done it several times.
I had a GPS, had a reading on the temporary camp, but I did not want
to get it wet.
Yes, several times I wished I had it. I could have put it in a plastic bag.
I wore a rain top, but not the pants. I had them in my truck.
Being lost is exciting, and requires that one call upon all his
reasoning and logic.
It may require "magic thinking" as well.
I like oddballs, not people who conform, because I think it is they
who change things for the better. This to me, is 'magical'. dee
The odd ball people and the non oddball can usually improve their
thinking, logic, and knowledge in most things.
Without even trying, I would have to say, you did a good job of
defining magic thinking.
