Its not bacteria that worries me Wayne, it's pesticides etc., I would just
wash with water too, but sometimes things like tea don't come off, so I find
the little melamine pads great, and no-one has got sick in my house! I do
the work tops, which are wooden with CS though. dee

I have never seen one. I use no pads.
Since I do not cook, I have few dishes that get dirty.

I have found, if I rinse and rub with nothing but very hot water,
clean is clean enough for me.
I do not worry about bacteria, as I like a few just to test and
keep the immune system on alert and working.
