Any of them can be made to operate manually by bypassing the voltage
comparator circuit with a jumper or a switch.
As far as I know, the puppy is the only one that allows that option with
an OEM switch, already there.
The constant current circuits [in all of them] will still operate,
releasing ions into the water at a constant predictable rate sdo long as
the water is conductive enough to kick that circuit in fully.
If the machine has shut down, it IS conductive enough, without a doubt.
What happens to those ions in the presence of unknown contaminants is
another matter, but the odds are good that you'll make "something" that's
useful, if not perfect.
Even silver chloride will kill a bug, just not quite as fast.
Tetra Silver Tetroxide [weird silver oxide] is actually patented for that
purpose. [Not that patents mean anything]
On that note: Silver Citrate and Silver Acetate can be very effective and
those dissolved ions may well be preferred over any other for making THOSE
silver compounds with silver ions.
Therefore, adding some lemon juice or some vinegar to contaminated water
might just make the contaminants a moot point.

Maybe the question should have been "do these units have a *manual
over-ride* switch which will bypass *all* other settings so one can use
*any* water which may be available and *still* get the resultant ppm level
one desires?" That probably sounds better. Hopefully this is more of a
Yes/No answer?
