She is in for pure misery. And it doesn't guarantee that she'll save her teeth, or that she won't have to have it done again. My brother had that done -- he said that if he had to do it again, he'd shoot himself. Your sister could at least try using a water pik with CS, brushing and flossing followed by Hydrogen Peroxide mouthwash (miserable stuff, HP, but effective). She can always resort to that surgery later if the above doesn't work. MA
