Somewhere along the way I believe I saw information indicating there are two
types of DMSO (prior to dilution with distilled water). One being 99% pure,
which at times can have a slight garlic odor when used, and one being 99.9%
pure that does not have the odor characteristic. If this isn't correct I'll
chalk the error up to a senior moment.

When I've used DMSO personally I have an odor for a little while. It doesn't
seem to matter if it's orally or topically. Someone on a list suggested
putting the cheap DMSO in the frig. The DMSO will freeze and you can pour off
any liquids and make it more pure. I haven't tried that yet.

My wonder is if those that do exibit more odor may have more toxins in their
system. That is totally guessing. I have tested positive for heavy metals and
am detoxing. When I got the flu back first of the year nothing worked for me
until I grabbed the DMSO. It broke everything loose.

I had some cheap DMSO gel from the feed and seed that was around 99%, but
never noticed any odor. I only used it in small spots though. I wonder if the
odor problem is mostly if you use a great deal of it or use it orally or
intravenously. Anybody know?

Sheesh, sorry Colin, I meant to send this directly to the silver list only

  Hi Pat,

Thanks. I note therein that your DMSO comes from Jacob Labs. That is a good
thing.
AND they claim that theirs is LOW odor.. Is that in reference to the odor of
the liquid in the bottle, OR of subsequent body odor that many people
experience? I hope it in reference to body odor. Maybe that is why you
experience no body odor?

If it is in reference to subsequent body odor, did they add something, I
wonder? Their Inactive ingredients: only include deionized water, urea, and
glycerol. Do one of those ingredients reduce subsequent body odor?

  Just curious..

Have you ever tried one of the cheap versions of DMSO to do a body odor
comparison?

  Best Regards,
  Colin

I always clean my skin with colloidal silver before dabbing the DMSO on
since it can carry things in through the skin. I've never had any body odor
from using it (and I keep asking my husband if I do). My DMSO is 60%.
https://jacoblab.com/OrderDMSODusa60.html I know you don't have to spend
that much for DMSO, but I love the ease of using this kind and have never had
any irritation or problem with it. One bottle will last me years.

Currently I'm using it on my knee for tendonitis. I have a partial knee
replacement and the orthopaedic surgeon ok'd the DMSO in the daytime and an
NSAID patch at night. My previous orthopaedic surgeon had approved DMSO use
also, and that time it cleared up a tendon pain in a couple days after weeks of
it hurting.
