DMSO can be taken orally, as long as the person is conscious. On the DMSO list there have been list members who reported using it for a stroke and following up with their Neuro and an MRI with no damage
and the Neuro asking what she did.

The book DMSO Nature's Healer by Morton Walker is sold by Amazon.

It is used to both treat and prevent heart attacks and stroke. Dr Stanley Jacob, the man who developed DMSO in the 70's for organ transport, takes 4 cc a day for the past 30+ years. He is in his late 80's and
currently writing a 16 volume set on DMSO.

DMSO, if given according to directions in the book "DMSO, Nature's Healer" by Dr. Morton Walker, will dissolve any clots in the brain and if given within 45 min of the attack there will be no damage. (according to the book) Months and even years later it will also work. It has to be injected, so many cc's per kilo of body weight.....This is worth finding a copy of this book.......

A victim of multiple strokes here has gained back much feeling
[many years after the strokes] by applying a [pieso] barbecue
igniter [aka electric 'stick pins in the skin'
treatment?..uh..oh yea, Acupuncture ] to the numb parts.
The very brief high voltage electrical shocks seemed to be
playing a game of "Marco Polo" with the brain to find or form
        another routing pattern.
..like sending up a flare to attract contact after the phones go
        out.

It seemed to also work on an old guy in Chapel Hill who had
stroke that paralyzed his right arm.
He was back to playing his weird Turkish stringed instrument
thingie in a couple of weeks.

constantly exercise the effected limbs...same with speech...new
nerve pathways will develope and bypass the damaged area of the
brain basically rewiring it. There have been some patients who
have recovered much use of their effected limbs 10-15 years
        after the stroke with exercise.
