I don't have it, but may I suggest also the book "Nutrition Almanac, third edition" by Lavon J. Dunne. It has an excellent section on Fractures, which explains what bone is made of, and what nutrients are necessary for good bones. I think it more informative than the section on osteoporosis per se.

My later 5th edition does not have this info. The actual vitamin and nutritional information in the 5th edition is shamefully scant, making that edition useless to me. I'm so glad I kept the earlier third edition. For an example of the difference, the Vit A article in the third edition is 5.5 pages with studies and references. the vit A info in the 5th edition is 3 short paragraphs.

I know I'm really veering off subject here, but the third edition of the book is the best, most detailed vitamin reference I have. I find it invaluable and so far irreplaceable.
