Renee,
If I remember correctly I started offering a bowl of CS water
alongside the CS water. At first they didn't seem to like the CS water,
but then at first I was using tap water for both the plain and CS bowls.
I don't remember when they began to switch to the CS water, but
eventually they seemed to drink it in preference to the plain, so at
that point I just stopped the plain.
Cats are very slow to change their habits, but mine eventually did,
and when I started mixing the CS with distilled water they really began
to drink more. Now, with the straight CS, they both drink a LOT, which I
think is good for their kidneys and entire urinary tract, too. I don't
mean they drink excessively, I think they were not drinking enough
previously.
I suggest offering a bowl of straight CS as well as their regular
water. My cats do seem to prefer the CS straight. I noticed that before
I was offering it straight and was still diluting it because my male
would jump up on the counter and start drinking the CS from the bowl
before I could add more water to dilute it.

None of them liked it. I'd like to get them to drink at least some CS
mixed in the water, but they know the difference. And if I put a bowl
of regular water down with a bowl of CS and water next to it, they never
touch the CS water.
