A tds meter reading of 000 does not mean there is nothing in the water.  Only 
some things will make a tds meter respond.  Other things can be in the water 
that will not make the meter respond at all, and if they are small enough, you 
won't see them either.  I don't offhand know of any way to tell what they could 
possibly be other than by having a sample tested by a lab.

No, what I meant was that the water is good because it has a reading of 000 
i.e. that hopefully there isn't any solids in it.  I know that the reading is 
probably not that accurate, but it must be still quite low.  This is why I 
can't understand how I get a TE through the water.  dee
