i believe you said $1000 to remove and replace the remaining fillings, that
the crown and work done so far was seperate?
i sure don't see $197 each to remove and replace fillings as any bargain and
they could all be done in one visit in a few hours. the cost overhead of
safely removing the fillings isn't high nor is composite filling material.
the dentist who did mine, a couple large ones and a bunch of small, in a
very expensive locale (bethesda, maryland) was overpriced but cheaper.
it is impressive that your dentist is able to make a crown on site
quickly... that technology has to be pricey to have abailable.
to bad the husband is stuck in BS. best to find the money yourself somehow
if you can.

Subject: Re: CS>Mercury Filling removal - anesthesia
It was Dr. Palmer in Greenville, SC. The small fillings are $197
each to replace. Unfortunately, I probably won't be getting the small
fillings redone until problems with them occur. The husband is saying he
doesn't believe mercury causes problems once it's bound up in filling
material. He's sent me the Quackwatch article by Stephen Barrett twice. He
asks for hard proof. (Other than the sheep study.)
