Use distilled water from the grocery store. Brew from 30 to 45 minutes, examine
the electrodes. Grey, or dark deposits are normal, just wipe them off with a
paper towel. If the water turns light yellow or golden, you're in the ballpark!
If it's any other color, use it for household use. You won't be able to tell
PPM, but don't worry about it, it's really a non issue except for the
commercial guys and the techies.

Yes, so is a tablespoon. Dilute if you want to.

If it precipitates and falls out of solution, I'd make a fresh batch! It's so
cheap to make, that storage shouldn't be a worry. I make a batch a month!
