Bricky,

You may also have a gluten intolerance. Try changing your selenium
supplement to another brand to see if that makes a difference. How much are
you taking? 200mcg is the usual dose.

What type of selenium supplements are you taking may I ask?
Selenomethionine is the most biocompatible form unless you get it from brazil
nuts. Sodium selenite is toxic, so be careful

The selenium supplement that causes me to break out with cold sores is from
Puritan Pride 200 mcg and states it is as selenium yeast. I can eat Brazil nuts
by the handful without any problem. I was taking selenium to try to get rid of
blue moons on my fingernails. What type of selenium comes from yeast? I also
noted that bread raises my heart rate within 30 minutes over 10 beats per
minute. If I toast the bread my pulse raises like 6 beats per minute. I thought
this was from the sugar breaking down to be more like honey (fructose and
sucrose), but maybe it is caused by yeast in the bread.
