I was taking 1200 mg in the am and 1200 mg in the pm of the extended release guaif. I still take 1200 mg per day but don't seem to need the 2400 mg per day as in the past. I have no clue what the dosage recommendation is for guiaf with FM. I don't seem to have the 'dry out' problem (knock on wood) but I do drink at least 1/2 gl of water x day and am not a heavy salt eater. I am so sorry you regret having done it. Do you still have problems from taking the guaif in past? Lola
