That is not the way it works MA. It doesn't dry up and go away... at least not in my experience. I don't know if I'm that brave. I'd just like to kill it and it sort of dries up and goes away..................... I got rid of one on the sole of my foot using those circular caustic stick on pad thingo's. When enough meat had been burnt away exposing the root, I yanked it out. Well actually there were three in the same area, two looked the same but the third one looked different, I reckon that was the main one and the other two were its mates. Be prepared though, you need to make pain your friend, instant and gone in a split second, but still extremely painful ripping them out. Fixed it good though, job done. I had plantar's warts frozen off when I was a kid. They stayed away for all of my life -- until this one (just one) showed up. It's been slow-growing, so I could ignore it -- but just got large enough to start being uncomfortable. So it's time to do something about it, and I didn't want to go the freezing route again -- it HURTS!!!! Thanks for your suggestion, which I will keep on hand. Today I bought the supplies for PT's castor-oil treatment. I'll try that first and see what happens. Thanks again. For some reason my comment never made it to the list so here it is: my friend had many warts on her hands, some on the joints and some even growing from under her nails. She had them frozen off and they came back, cut out and they came back. The whole process was painful. She bought some generic hemorrhoid cream and put on them at night with a pair of gloves. In just a couple of weeks they slowly week away and have never come back and that's been over a year ago. Jane -- I'm not familiar with Thuja tincture -- what is that, please? I develop corns there too & just pull off the hardened skin - I would put a tight dressing using Thuja tincture on over the wart ( light & airproof ) and just wait til it drops off. I have done this on warts for people and it has worked well. Jane
