The silver wire will get thinner as time and liters of CS are made. You would
change out the silver wire before it becomes to thin. I have mad over 100
liters of CS and there is just starting to notice that the 10 guage silver wire
is just a little bit thinner.

Great. Now a stupid question, does the silver electrode get changed when it has
disappeared?

You can get 36 inches(3 feet)(1ozt) of .9999 12 guage silver wire for $69.00.
Or buy 20 inches of 10 guage .9999(1ozt) .9999 silver wire for $69.00. From
amazon or atlasnova for half the price and 10 guage will last a long time!
