I put between 1/4 and 1/2 teaspoon of kelp in my dogs' food each day and
this helps eliminate tartar. For diet, my dogs get raw meaty bones, in
addition to primarily raw food. The homeopathic remedy Fragaria put into the
dog's water is supposed to help too. Also see:

You can also get a "dog dental brush" which consists of a plastic finger cot
with plastic bristles, and rub the dog's teeth gently. You can Google it; I
don't know what it's called.
