It's not so much the voltage that delivers the shock, but the pulses.
My meter said 50 volts steady, dead short maxed at 20 milliamps.
Literature says 100 volt pulses for the ringer...quite a wiggle if the
phone rings while hanging onto the wires, but not real dangerous with the
current limit....otherwise undetectable to the touch unless your hands are wet.
Arc [stick] welder puts out about 48 volts AC and I change electrodes often
bare handed...but if my feet are wet, I can feel the wiggle.
Both feet and hands wet? YOW !!
