I didn't say they were doing it right...more like, those folks have NO IDEA what they are talking about or doing. Using no current controls and uncontrolled buffering [pinch of salt], final PPM is completely unpredictable by using time. You could wind up with 5 PPM or 50 and only a few grains of salt making the difference. [Not to mention that the suspended portion, the 'colloid' will be partly photo-reactive silver chloride]

Yellow/gold can indicate contamination but is usually caused by silver oxides forming IN the water rather than forming on that electrode and staying there...a tell tale for too much current for the size of the electrodes.

If you dip that black electrode in H2O2 for a few minutes, it'll clean right up..a few drops of H2O2 will likewise dissolve those same oxides that are suspended in the water.

Another reason for yellow/gold to form later is over saturation of the water. Exceeding the amount of ionic silver that the water can hold forces ions to drop out of solution by making compounds with whatever might be around, like atmospheric oxygen. The higher the concentration of silver oxides, the darker the pigment color will be, from light yellow to brown to black.

It's somewhat like making rock candy where hot water is loaded up with sugar, then cooled with a string dangling in the water to serve as a crystal nucleus. Likewise, a silver oxide particle can serve as that nucleus and grow a crystal till it's big enough to sink [ ie: no longer colloidal]

Rayleigh light scattering effect can be used to guestimate a predominant particle size and a yellow cast in a yellowish light can indicate some such a thing, but the presence of silver oxide particles is a pigment that displays subtly different characteristics. A particle can display yellowish by means of both size and pigment color at the same time. If the color is due to particle size, it will appear to have a yellow tint while near wood or cardboard, then take on a slight greenish hue when near grass and be colorless when looked *through* at a full spectrum source such as the sun.

The generator you have produces the silver oxides and silver hydroxides like any other, but does it slowly enough that they are not forced to do so in the water and most of them stay on the electrodes where, when the current polarity swaps directions, an opposing conversion happens and most of that stuff is re-made into ions.....wasting a heck of a lot less silver...and... not creating high concentration zones in the water where it is oversaturated in a localized area. Once an ion is forced into becoming a particle, it doesn't unmake itself when the over saturated area is diluted later.

50 volts at a current limit of 20 milliamps is WAY too high to be useful for slowing down the process enough...unless you have poster sized electrodes.
But that will prevent a fire.

Current controls ion emission rate regardless of electrode size.
Voltage controls ion velocity.

Hi Ode,
I don't understand, if it takes 30-90 seconds per ounce of water (24 minutes for 16 oz) why does my silverpuppy take several hours + and why is my EIS clear? I thought yellow to gold indicated contamination.
Thanks.

Plugged in, the silver rods begin to show activity- one bubbles, the other ejects particles.

The atomic-sized ions of silver you **see ??** [Gee, darned good eyes there to see atoms or even smaller ions!] are not yet **big?** enough to qualify as medical grade. Add a pinch of electrolyte- [salt?] the now yellow/gold color indicates safe, proper sized colloids.

With just 30-90 seconds per ounce of water, you will get the health giving results you seek. You will safeguard from disease, and perhaps even save the lives of, well... everybody!

## Phone lines are 50 volts DC with a 100 volt ringer pulse with current control at 20 milliamps. [to prevent fires if lines are short cicuited]

The FDAs 'final word' is just a bunch of doubletalk that says "We don't know, no one is going to pay us to find out and there is no evidence to suggest that we SHOULD know. So, if you feel you need to ask PERMISSION...we'll just-say-no to cover our asses."

"Not proven safe and effective" does NOT mean ....proven unsafe and ineffective.
It just means that no one has found a reason to do all that expensive proving.

If you don't call it a food [which is a drug that treats the disease 'hunger'] or a drug, then it's none of our business. Carry on kiddies and don't make us come down there or we'll just send you to your room with a dunce cap like the "big brother" you asked for, would.

Now, if YOU want to fork over 30 million bucks to prove what you already know and found out for free?
If YOU want all those expensive regulations attached to your kitchen ?
 Have at it.
