Trying to follow the discussion on D3 / cholecalciferol. Living in the fairly far north (very little sun in winter and not going out with a lot of exposed skin at -25°C) we've been supplementing D3 / cholecalciferol from lanolin in an olive oil base during the winter. If I understand right, some are suggesting the D3 supplementation is a bad idea while others don't agree. Possible side-effects are bleeding issues (poor clotting?) and something about how calcium is dealt with? Did I get that right?
