Just because it is a new bottle of distilled doesn't mean it is good.  I 
believe sometimes there are additives.  I clean my rods before every batch.PT

It's new distilled water from the store, so I wouldn't think it's the water but 
I'll check out and replace it, could it be that my silver rods need to be 
cleaned?
