The chart covering the last 500 million years shows that earth has not had polar ice caps for about 60% of that time span.[obviously because there were too many people driving cars...... and mastodon farts ended the last ice age ] We are currently in a "cool period" which vary in length by thousands of years and it could go up OR down at this point. Climate changes just fine without us....and we can't even really predict the weekly 'weather' accurately, much less recurring dry cycles on the central USA plains.
