Dear Janet,

The CS did not cause the clot in your mothers eye. It is also not likely a
clot exactly. I am assuming you are talking about a ruptured blood vessel.
That happened to my husband and I around 9 years ago within weeks of one
another and they were big bloody ugly things. My husbands was the worst
and you could see the blood trapped in the white area of the eye. We had
also both started synthetic thyroid supplements at the time, the
prescription kind. The doctor told us that the syntroid had nothing to do
with it, but our next door neighbor was also on synthoid and was getting
the same thing. It happened to us several times until we stopped the
syntroid.

There are several other things that can cause this. ( I researched it)
viruses for one. But the natural fragility of capiliary aging for another.
Rather than stopping her supplements she may need to increase them,
particularly ones that address problems of vein fragility such as the kind
found in many fruits. IN fact spend a few days on some raw organic carrot
juice you make youself in a juicer would not be a bad idea, I like a blend
with apples to add sweetness. Drinking more water is also essential.

As to a book, there are several good ones, some that are not life-extension
classics. One of the Oldest are the books by Durk Pearson and Sandy Shaw
called LIFE_EXTENSION-A Scientific Approach. There are lost of good books
on herbals. One that is good for neophytes is THE GREEN PHARMACY. You
may also want to join the Life-Extension Foundation, their magazine is
always full of very high-tech leading edge articles on research in this
area. Their web address is http://www.lef.org
