 CS doesn't stain right away. It oxidizes, which changes it's color in the
 spilled-on spot from clear to grey-brown, the color of tarnish. My white
 countertop has been the ultimate viewing area for these changes & I have
 found that no matter how quickly I wipe up a spill, it will ALWAYS stain,
 usually showing up 2 days later.

Heather: I don't know if my experience is common or not, but the HVAC CS that 
I produce does NOT stain. I have no explanation. BTW, I always have each 
batch I prepare analyzed by AA so there is definitely CS present. Roger
