Dear Marshall, I recently took the leftover ends of all the pure silver wire I`d ordered through the years, and melted it all down. Then we dropped the molten silver into rock salt to make a pretty silver nugget. Thing is, it never tarnishes! Is it only sterling that tarnishes? (I did the same with my wedding rings and the big one of my STBX, made a gorgeous nugget of 14 K gold!) Marsha -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
